Weather Fusion User Guide

Troubleshooting

Troubleshooting

Use this page when Weather Fusion is not connecting, refreshing, importing, or showing the data you expect. Most issues are resolved by checking the provider settings, refreshing the station list, or waiting for an active task to finish.

Start with these checks

  1. Open Settings and confirm the correct provider, credentials, and station are selected in Data Source.
  2. Confirm the station is online and still sending data to the provider.
  3. Refresh the current screen: pull down on iPhone and iPad, or press ⌘R on macOS.
  4. Wait for any active download, import, or summary calculation to finish before starting another one.

Common problems

Missing credentials

Open Settings > Data Source and complete all required fields.

No stations available

Weather Fusion can only show stations the provider returns for the current account.

  1. Confirm the station is active in the provider account.
  2. Verify the account or subscription tier includes station access.
  3. Click the refresh icon next to Station in Settings > Data Source. On macOS, Data > Refresh Stations is also available.

Invalid credentials

Copy the credentials again from the provider site, remove any extra spaces, and paste them back into Settings > Data Source. See Connect a station for the setup steps.

Provider unreachable or timeout

Check internet access, VPN or firewall restrictions, and local network availability. For WiFiLogger, also verify the endpoint or IP and confirm both devices are on the same network.

Real-time data is delayed

Refresh Real Time, then verify the station is still uploading and the provider is available.

WiFiLogger scan does not find device

Confirm Local Network permission and same-network connectivity. If the scan still does not find the device, enter the endpoint or IP manually.

Maintenance task appears stuck

Only one maintenance task should be active at a time.

On iPhone and iPad, open the Station tab, then tap the active Downloading… or Calculating summaries… row in Activity to stop the current task.

On macOS, click the activity icon in the toolbar to view download or recalculation progress and stop the current task if needed.

Historical view is empty

An empty chart usually means there is no stored data for the selected period yet, or summary data has not been rebuilt after an import.

  1. Verify data exists for the selected period.
  2. Run Download observations.
  3. Run Recalculate Summaries.
  4. Open the chart again after the task finishes.

Some metrics are missing

Weather Fusion can only show metrics the provider sends and the installed sensors expose.

Data differs across devices

Confirm all devices use the same provider and station selection. Then allow sync to finish before comparing timestamps or summaries.

No data imported

This usually means the selected .wfdb file did not contain rows newer than the data already stored for the same station.

Send feedback or report a bug

If the issue continues after these checks, send a report from the app.

On iPhone and iPad, open Settings and choose Send Feedback… or Report a Bug….

On macOS, choose Help > Send Feedback… or Help > Report a Bug….

Include provider, station name, platform, the exact error message, and the steps needed to reproduce the issue.
