Historical chart reference
Historical charts
Historical charts show stored measurements for rolling 24h and 7d windows and calendar day, week, month, and year periods. 24h covers the preceding 24 elapsed hours; 7d covers the preceding seven days. Calendar periods follow the station’s local time.
The chart catalog includes the families below, including optional channels and separate measurement sources. Availability depends on the connection service, station measurements, selected period, and compatible stored history. Chart visibility and order are described in Customize Historical charts.
Presentation and stored history
Standard presentation shows full charts. Short-period line charts use stored readings at their available cadence. Week and 7d line charts use readings near hourly positions when supported, with daily summaries as a fallback. Longer periods use compatible summaries or recorded daily values. A line can therefore represent sampled readings, averages, extrema, or daily values, according to the available history.
For scalar measurements such as temperature and humidity, summary charts show averages and high-low ranges when those statistics exist. Wind, solar irradiance, UV, and AQI use the specific presentations described below. Daily Value identifies history supplied as one value per day.
Compact presentation shows a period summary with a small chart or wind rose when compatible history exists. The summary follows the measurement: high and low for range-based measurements, a maximum for peak-based measurements, or a total for accumulations. Recorded daily values use their own available range. Details are described in Compact Historical View.
Separate channels and measurement sources retain their own charts. Sensor names, group names, and source attribution distinguish readings that share a measurement title.
Temperature, humidity, and comfort
These measurements use line charts, with compatible averages, high-low ranges, or daily values according to the stored history.
| Chart | Measurement |
|---|---|
| Temperature | Outdoor air temperature. |
| Humidity | Outdoor relative humidity. |
| Dew Point | The temperature at which the air reaches saturation. |
| Apparent Temperature and Feels Like | Separate perceived-temperature measurements. |
| Heat Index | Temperature adjusted for humidity. |
| THW Index and THSW Index | Temperature-humidity-wind and temperature-humidity-sun-wind indices. |
| Wind Chill | Temperature adjusted for the cooling effect of wind. |
| Wet Bulb | Wet-bulb temperature. |
| Black Globe Temperature | Black-globe sensor temperature. |
| Wet Bulb Globe Temperature | The available wet bulb globe temperature value. |
| Vapor Pressure Deficit | The difference between saturation vapor pressure and actual vapor pressure. |
Indoor and extra channels
Each available measurement or channel has a separate line chart, with compatible averages, ranges, or daily values.
| Chart or family | Measurement |
|---|---|
| Indoor Temperature, Indoor Humidity, and Indoor Dew Point | Indoor air temperature, relative humidity, and dew point. |
| Indoor Apparent Temperature, Indoor Feels Like, and Indoor Heat Index | Separate indoor comfort-temperature readings. |
| Indoor Wet Bulb and Indoor WBGT | Indoor wet-bulb and wet bulb globe temperature readings. |
| Indoor CO₂ and Indoor Noise | Indoor carbon dioxide concentration and sound level. |
| Extra temperature and humidity channels 1 through 10 | Separate Temperature, Humidity, Dew Point, and Feels Like charts for each supported channel. |
| Extra CO₂ and noise channels 1 through 7 | Separate CO₂ and Noise charts for compatible additional Netatmo modules. |
Rain and evapotranspiration
| Chart | Presentation |
|---|---|
| Rain Rate | Bars for compatible stored rain rates. Summaries use the maximum rate for the represented interval. Labels identify interval-average rates when the source reports them. |
| Total Rain | Bars for rain accumulated in each represented interval, using compatible interval amounts or changes in rain counters. Period summaries show the supported total. |
| Rain Rate (Rain Gauge) and Total Rain (Rain Gauge) | Separate rate and accumulation charts for the reported traditional Ecowitt gauge, using the same forms as generic rain charts. |
| Rain Rate (Piezoelectric) and Total Rain (Piezoelectric) | Separate rate and accumulation charts for the reported piezoelectric Ecowitt gauge. |
| Evapotranspiration | Bars for the available interval or period accumulations, with supported totals in period summaries. |
Each rain chart uses the measurements from its selected source. The meaning of an accumulation follows its interval or counter basis; rolling totals use compatible stored readings for the selected window.
Lightning
| Chart | Presentation |
|---|---|
| Lightning Strikes | Strike totals over time. Distance-band data uses stacked bars; Tempest uses total-count bars. |
| Closest Lightning | Distance points for the nearest reported lightning, with minimum distances in summarized periods. Available when strike counts and distances are stored. |
| Lightning Distance | Points for the reported average strike distance, using the available archive or summary cadence. Available when strike counts and average distances are stored. |
Wind
| Chart | Presentation |
|---|---|
| Wind | Sustained wind and compatible gust readings over time. Short periods use available readings; summary views emphasize maxima. |
| Wind Gust | Gust speed over time, using compatible maximum gust readings. |
| Wind Direction | A wind rose showing the distribution of compatible wind-speed and direction readings, or a stored distribution. |
| Wind Gust Direction | A wind rose using compatible gust-speed and gust-direction readings, or a stored distribution. Availability depends on the source’s gust-direction data. |
Pressure, solar, and UV
| Chart | Presentation |
|---|---|
| Pressure | A line chart using sea-level pressure when available, with station pressure as a fallback. Compatible summaries provide averages and ranges. |
| Altimeter Setting | A separate line chart for the aviation altimeter pressure setting, with compatible averages and ranges. |
| Solar Irradiance | Solar irradiance over time. Archive averages and interval peaks appear as separate traces when both are stored; summary periods emphasize maxima. |
| UV Index | UV readings over time, with maxima in summarized periods. |
Air quality
| Chart or family | Measurement and presentation |
|---|---|
| PM1, PM2.5, and PM10 | Separate particulate-concentration line charts, with compatible averages and ranges. |
| PM2.5 Sensor 1 through PM2.5 Sensor 4 | Separate line charts for each reported PM2.5 channel. |
| Air Temperature, Air Humidity, and Air Dew Point | Temperature, relative humidity, and dew-point line charts for the air-quality sensor. |
| Air Heat Index and Air Wet Bulb | Heat-index and wet-bulb line charts for that sensor. |

Soil and plant sensors
These line charts support 24h, 7d, Day, Week, Month, and Year when compatible history is stored. Available readings, averages, ranges, and daily values follow the selected period and source history.
| Chart family | Measurement |
|---|---|
| Soil Temperature 1 through Soil Temperature 16 | Soil temperature for each reported channel. |
| Soil Moisture 1 through Soil Moisture 16 | Moisture or soil-water tension for each reported channel. Each chart uses one reported unit, with gaps for incompatible readings. |
| Leaf Wetness 1 through Leaf Wetness 8 | Leaf-wetness readings for each reported channel. |
The Real Time card reference describes Soil Moisture units and colors. Additional soil and plant measurements, such as tension, salinity, permittivity, water potential, leaf temperature, and leaf-wetness duration, appear in observation details.
Chart Data
Chart Data lists the values behind a chart in the chart’s unit. Exported charts use the same values. It is available below charts in detail views. Open in Historical shows the listed period on the Historical dashboard and highlights it in the charts.
Measurements in observation details
Observations and Historical Observation Data provide stored-record inspection for additional measurements, including degree days, storm event times, last-rain time, forecast text, and device-health fields. Supported measurements describes the broader catalog.
