Recalculate summaries

Use Recalculate Summaries when Day, Week, Month, or Year values differ from the underlying observations, for example after a large backfill. Weather Fusion updates summaries automatically after a restore; choosing Recalculate Summaries before that update finishes completes the pending update instead of starting another calculation.

On iPhone and iPad, open Settings › Manage Data, then choose Recalculate Summaries in Downloads. Compact layouts also provide this action from the Manage Data icon in the Station tab.
On macOS, choose Data › Recalculate Summaries.

Keep Weather Fusion active until the calculation finishes. Recalculation reads the observations already stored in the local database and rebuilds their summaries.

When observations themselves are missing, download them before recalculating. Use Download older observations for missing earlier coverage or Fill gaps in historical data for holes between stored rows.
